Receive welcome Membership Rewards ("MR") points (hereinafter "Offer") when you apply for one of the American Express Cards listed in the Offer Table below (hereinafter "Card"), during the Offer Period, subject to meeting the Eligibility Criteria set out below.

Eligibility Criteria and Awarding the Membership Rewards Points

This Offer will be provided to the American Express Cardmembers (hereinafter "Cardmember" or "you") upon the successful approval of the Cardmember's request for the Card issued by AMEX (Middle East) B.S.C. (c) - Emirates ("AEME") via our Digital Channels (Offer page and Mobile App) and who are enrolled in the MR programme. Cardmember must achieve the minimum spend required on the Card to be eligible for the points.

The eligible Card must be active i.e. not blocked or cancelled and with no overdue payments.

For the avoidance of doubt, the successful delivery of the Card is defined as the Cardmember receiving the physical Card after validation of his/her original Emirates ID, providing the required Security Cheque and original proof of his/her current Residence Address as provided during the Application process via our Digital Channels (Offer page and Mobile App).

To be eligible to avail this Offer, Cardmembers must not hold any basic Cards issued by AEME, nor have had any basic Cards issued by AEME in the past six (6) months. Cardmembers must pay the Card Annual Membership Fee and must complete one (1) transaction on the Card within thirty (30) days from the date the Card has been activated (hereinafter "Eligibility").

The Cardmember who is eligible to earn the welcome MR points will receive the welcome MR points upon becoming eligible as per meeting the Eligibility Criteria mentioned above.

The Cardmember will continue to earn the standard MR points on his/her spends as per the Cardmember Agreement and Membership Rewards programme Terms and Conditions.

Relationship with Other Offers

Cardmembers who avail this Offer will remain eligible for any other offer or promotion running simultaneously by AEME, unless otherwise specified.

General Terms

By submitting the referee's information under this Offer, you represent and warrant that you have obtained the consent of the referee(s) to share his/her details for the purpose of being contacted by AEME for this Offer and you agree to indemnify AEME against all related legal claims and costs and will hold AEME harmless from the same.

Taxes and fees are applicable upon redemption of airline tickets across airline partners in the Membership Rewards programme.

Cardmembers' Card Accounts must be shown as active and regular during the Offer Period and at the time the welcome & bonus points are awarded i.e. the Card account must not be blocked or cancelled and have no overdue payments during the Offer Period and as on the date the bonus points are awarded.

Membership Rewards points are provided by AEME. All Membership Rewards redemptions are subject to availability and certain restrictions may apply. The Membership Rewards Offer points are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.

During the Offer Period all transactions will continue to incur Fees, Charges and applicable Interest rates as per the prevailing Schedule of Fees and Charges.

AEME reserves the right to modify or change all or any of the terms applicable to the Offer or to extend or discontinue the Offer at its absolute discretion.

The Terms and Conditions governing this Offer are in addition to and not in substitution of the Primary Cardmember Agreement Terms and Conditions governing Card usage. All questions or disputes regarding eligibility for the Offer or the Membership Rewards points will be resolved by AEME in its sole discretion. AEME’s decision on all matters relating to the Offer shall be final, binding and conclusive.

AEME’s failure to enforce any term or condition does not constitute a waiver of that term or condition by AEME.

AEME’s obligations under this Offer are subject to any restriction or limitation imposed by any regulatory, judicial or administrative authority with jurisdiction over AEME, and AEME will not be liable to the extent any decision, direction, order or determination by such body prohibits or restricts AEME’s performance under or compliance with this Offer.

Cardmembers release and discharge AEME from any and all liability resulting from any unauthorized human intervention, or any other cause, including but not limited to malfunction of any computer component, software or communication line, any loss or absence of network communications, any faulty, incomplete or unintelligible transmissions which could limit the opportunity of any individual in getting the bonus points.

AEME reserves the right to request proof of identity. If the Cardmember refuses to provide any of the details requested without a good reason, then he/she may not qualify for the Offer. If AEME becomes aware of any fraud, deceit, misconduct or similar action during or in relation to this Offer then AEME reserves the absolute right to exclude the Cardmember from the Offer and may revoke any acquired Offer points unless it is proven to the satisfaction of AEME that he/she had no actual or imputed knowledge or participation in such fraud or deceit or similar action.

AEME regards the confidentiality of its Cardmembers personal information with the utmost security. AEME does not accept any responsibility for any promotional material or other material communicated to the Cardmembers by third parties that independently obtained any personal information.
